Dota 2 BOOM Esports manager Isaac Alfon commented on rumors about roster changes for the SEA The International 12 (TI12) regional qualifiers.
We know that the Dota 2 SEA community, especially in Indonesia, is shocked by the news that the Dota 2 BOOM Esports team will be undergoing major roster changes.
The names of many well-known professional players such as Ana, Ame, WS and BoBoKa have been mentioned who have been associated with this Indonesian Dota 2 team.
So, are the said rumors true?
Via Space BOOM Esports’ Twitter podcast titled “BOOM Talk Vol.05 Isaac Alfon – The Opening of Dota 2 Transfer Window.
BOOM Esports and their Dota 2 manager Isaac Alfon discussed what’s going on in the Dota 2 division, including rumors of TI12 roster changes.
He explained that the rumors were just rumors because, according to him, in Dota 2 it would be very easy to find out who would join the team.
“Guys, rumors are still rumors because it’s easy to lose lineups in Dota 2 esport. Not because of secret agents or anything like that.
Why is it easy to leak such information? Because when a team gets a new player and tries them out (trial), (you) can see them in the Dota 2 custom lobby.
You’ll see pro players befriend other pro players in the lobby, so it’s easy to spot,” said Alfon.
Alfon also commented on the many player names associated with BOOM Esports.
“In terms of rumors, I think rumors spread very quickly, a lot of names come up, (for example) BoBoca, Death, WS, Ana, Ame. I can’t believe they showed the names to Ama, (and) Topson.
Whenever there are rumors, we know in advance because, as I said before (players will find out from other players). So when these things became known to the public, we didn’t have a reaction like “wow” or anything like that.
We know that they (rumored to be players) will go there or something like that. So when the news reached us, it was pretty funny, because yes, it was pretty funny that a lot of names were mentioned,” Alfon said.
In addition, this person from the Philippines confirmed that the BOOM Esports players registered in the Dota 2 registration remained the same and did not change.
“I will say one thing and everyone wants to know if any specific player names have been confirmed.
I’ll just say that right now we have a roster of Yopaj, Natsumi who is registered with the Dota 2 Registration, Xepher, xNova, (and) we have trainers MuShi and Ohaiyo.

As we know BOOM Esports lack offlaners right now, Alfon also mentioned that they are having a hard time finding new players.
Their former offlaner Fbz has decided to join Team Secret on loan until the end of the 2023 season.
